College Application Q&A / Help Day (rescheduled):

Seniors - need help with your college applications? Have questions about Common App, recommendations, transcripts requests, the Senior Brag Sheet, etc.? Stop by the Counseling Office on Monday, September 30th during your lunch period to see the Counselors - no advance registration needed. Remember to bring your device with you!

Seniors applying to college:

  1. The October 15th deadline for college applications is quickly approaching! If your student is applying to a college with this deadline, they must have completed the following at least 10 school days (not including weekends or school holidays) prior to the college deadline:
  • Invite their counselor to their Common App account or their specific college application portal, if applicable - OR - submit a transcript request through https://fultonga.scriborder.com (for schools that do not allow a counselor "invitation" - ex. Georgia Gwinnett College).
  • Upload their completed Senior Brag Sheet in the Class of 2025 Canvas page under the Assignments tab if applying to a college that requires a counselor recommendation letter. Seniors should not email their Brag Sheet to their counselor -  only upload to Canvas. **Reminder: no public colleges in Georgia require a counselor letter of recommendation!**
  1. Seniors must double-check that all their college listed in Common App have a selected deadline! We must have this information listed in order to ensure your students' documents are received by their colleges in time. If colleges are listed in Common App without a deadline selected, counselors will assume that the student is still considering whether to apply to that college.
  2. If you need a refresher on this information, please be sure to review the Class of 2025 Senior information presentation here.

Junior Information Meeting:

Save the date! The Counseling Department is hosting the Class of 2026 Junior Information Meeting on Wednesday, October 9th at 5:30pm. The meeting will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams - click here to join. We will be discussing college/career search and exploration, SAT/ACT info, HOPE/Zell Miller Scholarship info, timeline/important dates through the rest of your Junior year and into Senior year, and more. It is expected that all parents/guardians and 11th grade students either attend the virtual presentation or watch the recording (will be posted on the Counseling website afterward) before scheduling their Junior Advisement meeting with their Counselor.

ALL Parents/Guardians:

Have you created your Canvas observer account yet? If not, detailed instructions can be found here. We are encouraging all parents/guardians to be observers so they can keep tabs on all of their students' classes!
