At the High School level, the Georgia Milestones Assessment System consists of End-of-Course (EOC) exams tied to four courses:

Algebra 1
-
American/11th Grade Literature
-
Biology
-
U.S. History
Students enrolled in on-level, honors, and/or accelerated sections of the above courses will complete the corresponding EOC exam for that course.
Students enrolled in Advanced Placement or Dual Enrollment sections of Biology and U.S. History are generally exempt from the EOC requirement. However, students enrolled in AP Lang or DE American Literature will take the EOC exam for that course.
For these courses, the EOC is worth 20% of the overall course grade.

ACT Test
March 6, 2025

All 11th grade students are eligible to sit for the ACT exam on the morning of March 6th at no cost to the student.
The ACT Exam will be administered digitally and must be taken on an FCS issued device. Students are to bring their fully charged FCS laptop and charger in order to take the exam. No devices/chargers will be provided.

AP TESTING
May 5 - May 16, 2025

Advanced Placement (AP) Exams are nationally normed exams administered by the College Board at the conclusion of a specific AP course.
For morning AP Exams, students must report by 7:30am on the day of their exam.
For afternoon AP Exams, students must report by 11:30am on the day of their exam.

TALENTED & GIFTED TESTING
The Fulton County School System screens all students for eligibility for gifted services twice a year and uses a systematic approach to identify highly capable students who may qualify for gifted services. Please refer to the Notification to Parents of the Screening and Referral Process for Gifted Students.
